imperial ice bar, Have vodka like in a bond movie
Imperial Ice Bar is the newest addition to the bustling night scene of the Fort. Straight out of the James Bond movie Die Another Day, this ice palace is currently the hottest joint in the area, racking up patrons just after opening last November 20, 2012. What is it about Imperial Ice Bar that has got everyone flocking?
Imperial Ice Bar is unlike any other bar in Metro Manila. Located in the Fort Strip just beside Draft Gastrobar, it is unassuming at first as the only facade this bar can boast of is a small entrance lodged between two establishments. Once inside, however, this bar offers its patrons a luxurious experience starting with plush interiors decorated with heavy drapery and couches accentuated by warm lights.
There are three main areas in Imperial Ice Bar: the lounge area, the VIP room, and the Ice Bar. The lounge area has a huge bar amidst comfortable couches, standing tables, and a DJ booth. Since there is no guest list, patrons can reserve a couch that comes with two bottles or a table with one free bottle and free entrance into the Ice Bar.
The VIP room is exclusive to those who want to enjoy in a more private setting. Still with the plush interiors, this room is hooked up with TV screens that give VIP’s live broadcast of the Ice Bar.
Even if the lounge area and VIP room are already a notch above other bars, the main attraction of this place is the Ice Bar. This bar has literally everything made in ice - walls, tables, chairs, and the bar. Kept at -5 degrees, the Ice Bar can hold 25 people at any one time. Patrons are given coats, gloves, and headgear before entering but Infused Russian Vodka is the main weapon to battle the cold. Entrance to the Ice Bar will set people back P550 for 20 minutes inside if they did not reserve a table or couch. It comes with two shots of Imperial Vodka and additional shots are priced at P275 per shot.
Only Russian Standard Imperial Vodka is served in the Imperial Ice Bar. Imperial vodka comes in fruit-infused flavors like lychee, pineapple, and mango. Other drinks include the Imperial Black Russian, a vodka-based concoction with a kick of coffee and brown sugar. Red Squared is another drink made from amaretto and Southern Comfort topped off with fruit juice and pomegranate syrup. The Moscow Melon uses Russian Standard Platinum vodka infused with Midori Melon and pineapple puree.
Definitely unlike any other in Metro Manila, Imperial Ice Bar offers its patrons a totally new and different bar experience that has got more and more people flocking to it, wanting to acquaint themselves with the hottest addition to Fort’s bar scene.
