Good earth Roasts
Good Earth Roasts sounds like a restaurant not a bar but it really is more of a drinking place in one of the corridors of the rejuvenated Fort Strip. It isn't the cheapest place to get a bucket of San Miguel Beer at P390 but it isn't bad either but what makes GER interesting is that you can get a bucket of imported beer such as Corona, Heineken and Tsing Tao! Now why other bar people didn't think of slicing off a tiny bit off the individual prices of their imported beer and tossing them into a bucket by the six is beyond me. GER also gives you a cool little underground vibe that reminds me of the HK or Sing Bar scene. Not a bad place to knock over a few beers with friends.
The place does smell like roasts but I didn't try the food. Since I mentioned Tsing Tao, the very famous Chinese beer from the Tsing Tao or Shandong or Shandao province of China - do you know how they started? It was during the German colonization period prior to World War 1. The German's controlled the Chinese province and a brewery was one of the things they established in 1903 (How German indeed). History lesson for you.
