persia grill - pasong tamo extension
I know, I know, its not a bar. Its a Persian restaurant for those who know about it, but heck, two beers for 75 pesos? That made me really happy. You can choose from the usual San Miguel Beer products, San Mig Light, Pale Pilsen, Red Horse and Super Dry. The thing is, the beer was not very cold. But beer is beer, what makes it interesting is that beer is surprisingly great with Persian food. My buddy and I (you could always bring a date but beer is really best drunk with guy friends - although I have actually met two awesome girls who drank as much beer as I did and the bar fly can actually drink!) were looking for a place to get together in the Pasong Tamo Extension area. Originally we wanted to hit 121 Grill in Allegro Center (sort of a glorified Gerry's, Dencio's, Pier One - you know what I mean) but it was crazy packed so we had a choice of either Dell's Food Court (you know, one of those 24 hour food court brands with multiple locations primarily in high traffic office areas with BPOs.) or Persia Grill so Persia Grill it was.
Dell's is a 100 pesos for three beers while Persia Grill is 75 for 2 so we opted to drink with class and went to Persia Grill where my buddy first showed me an awesome trick, you know that in Middle Eastern joints they give you onions, tomatoes, yoghurt sauce and hot sauce? Mash them all together and use as sauce, douse it on your rice, freaking awesome!
Persia Grill is not a bad place to have dinner and drinks in, not too many people at night, the crowd is for lunch. At night you can have your pick of tables and have all the beer you want (2 for 75) that is until 11 pm.
